Moominvalley
Keyframe and color keys for animated series development. I worked on the visual development of the series in the early days with production designer Sarah Hauldren and director Steve Box (Oscar winner).
More Moominvalley visual development work here.
Visual development for Moominvalley (dir. Steve Box, Academy Award winner). I produced key light and color concepts to establish the mood of the series.
I thumbnail every key concept first, pushing composition and staging until it supports the story moment before any rendering begins.
Styleframes for the opening-credits sequence, which I art directed and which was produced in our studio. The frames are a deliberate homage to Tove Jansson’s original artwork.
Merge Mansion
Location design and color scripting for Merge Mansion. On Metacore’s Arts & Cinematics team we expanded the game’s world into a cinematic universe — I focused on its key locations and their visual mood.
More visual development work for Merge Mansion here.
Design exploration for Kazuko Tanaka’s shop — a Japanese immigrant’s store in the east-coast town of Hopewell Bay — developing both its character and how it sits within the wider town.
Color scripts for the Merge Mansion cinematics, mapping the emotional arc of each sequence through color and light.
Key visuals for the ’Circus of Rumors’ event. I built the decorative language around eye, mouth, and ear motifs to underline the theme of rumors.
Sails of Fury
Location design for Sails of Fury, focusing on the early development stage. Here I establish the layout, scale, and silhouette of Dragon Island: home to the main village and Dragon Cave.
An eye-level pass establishing the scale and silhouette of the village from the ground.
Color and design exploration for a fishing-village location, iterating on layout and palette across several variations.
Clash of Clans
A 10-year creative partnership with Supercell across multiple shipped titles. One project was developing the cinematic look of the Clash universe — its scale, eye-level world, shape language, materials, and light.
More visual development and illustration work for Clash Universe here.
Location and arena explorations for Clash Royale. I did dozens of these thumbnail size layout explorations to help shape up the design and feel for each location.
Boy of The Reef
Boy of the Reef — an original world I’m building from the ground up with my partner focusing on the story and me on the world-building; developing its places, characters, light, and emotional tone for a world.
Hampus & Vampus, co-creator of original children’s book series
An original children’s book series I have co-crated and I’m currently illustrating. The books are about two siblings and grandma’s magic blanket taking them into world of adventures.
More illustrations and pictures of the story universe on Hampus & Vampus section of my online portfolio.
The published books in print, and the illustrated map of Hassula that anchors the series’ world.
Personal Works
In my personal works I often explore themes of nature, seasons and emotional storybeats.

Plein Air Painting
I keep a steady pleinair practice, observing and painting from life in watercolor, gouache and pastels.
