| Biography I´m Tuomas Korpi – a 27 year old illustrator, production designer and matte painter from Finland. I have worked professionally in entertainment and advertising industry since 2005. Before that I studied architecture at Helsinki University of Technology. For the last three years I´ve worked as an illustrator, designer and visual director at Studio Piñata, a Helsinki based animation and illustration studio. I have always been a curious mind: interested in history, nature and different cultures. I´m constantly open to new things, absorbing information and trying to find new stories, places and visual experiences that inspire me. In my own art I´m not limited in one style or theme – I try my best to grasp many styles and mix different techniques and approaches together. Still, combining the vivid impressionistic style and lighting with digital media and environment design is propably my strong suit. I like to think my personal works more as frames from yet-to-be-made movies that leave the viewer a lot of space for their own imagination. There´s always little stories going on in the details or on the background, they are not just pretty images all the time! On my spare time I love to cook and cycle. I´m also a regular member of the Helsinki Sketch Group gathering every Sunday to mingle, eat and draw – now four years in a row!
